This sweet macaron was inspired by the iconic and legendary Girl Scout cookie, Samoa. We took apart all the layers of flavors and recreated them with texture and taste in mind. These just might be my all-time favorite, and I know you will love them! Seriously though, with a crunchy center, caramel drizzle, coconut flakes, chocolate crisp pearls, what’s not to love? Here are a list of ingredients you will need to make these one-of-a-kind macarons.
Ingredients:
Chocolate Crisp Pearls (Amazon or Caputo’s market in SLC)
Coconut flake ice cream topping (Orson GYGI)
Dulce de Leche (from Amazon, or the grocer’s; it comes in a squeeze bottle)
And our signature Somoa Crunch Crumble
First, make your shells. You can snag our recipe HERE.
Once shells are made and you have whipped up a batch of our delicious buttercream, put 1 cup buttercream in a bowl and add 1 Tbsp. of dulce de leche, and stir until combined. Place buttercream in piping bag and pipe a circle in a ring around the outer edge of your mac shell, leaving ample space in the middle for our delicious crumble. Seriously, we eat the stuff by the handful.
Once you have the outside ring piped, fill the middle with the Samoa Crumble. Add just a dollup of caramel, a shake of coconut flakes and a few milk chocolate crisp pearls to the top, then carefully match up your shells and top your creation with a lid.
IF there is one thing we know for sure, we KNOW this recipe will be the go-to favorite at your next girl’s night out or kid’s birthday party.
Looks yummy, will try this recipe. Thanks
