Hey, it’s Friday!
Raise your hand if your kids are out of school! Raise another hand if they have already told you they are 1. bored, 2. hungry, 3. bored and 4. tired. (All my hands and feet are in the air.) I am not the type of mom to completely lay out every minute of everyday, but man, lately, I am tempted. Tell me what you do over the summers that seem to work; I am open to any and all suggestions. I’ve got some Fun Fab Five Finds for you this week, so let’s just jump right in.

1. Color
Let’s talk our boho color line that we did this week for the tower we built… did you see that in our Instgram stories? If not, follow along on our IG HERE. We started with whites and golds that moved into boho pinks, orange and terracotta. We finished with set off with a beautiful earthy blue. Here are the colors we used to create this wonderland of BOHO goodness.
- Americolor GOLD and LEMON YELLOW
- Chefmaster SIENNA and GOLDEN YELLOW
- Chefmaster SUNSET ORANGE and BUCKEYE BROWN
- Americolor BURNT ORANGE and TERRACOTTA and SILVER SPRUCE

2. This and That
On this episode (episode? Just kidding, we’re not a radio show), I wanted to highlight a few tips and tricks in This and That. Let’s start with color. Can you guess the most asked question when it comes to color? Well, here it is, “How do you get perfect drops? I get blobs.” So let me outline ways to get your color dripping like normal. First, shake your bottle, especially if it’s been sitting for awhile. Second, store your bottle upside down, it helps the air pockets to be in one area of the bottle, and not on the end where you need those consistent drips. and Third, clean the top of your bottle if it’s goopy or giving you issues. Last, if you notice a drop that looks more like three drops taking shape, squeeze just a little and cut it off with a toothpick.

3. Media
Some weeks I can get lost in a book, or re-watch my favorite movie. But if I am being honest, this week just didn’t allow my mental to relax, like many of you, the shooting in Ulvalde shook me to my core, in the worst way possible. So this week I took time to listen to a podcast that could help me unpack some of my feelings. Do you follow @MWEG on Instagram? Their podcast of #ListenFirstFriday was just what I needed. I also dove into all the kids’ book recmendations from Instagram favorite @keepabookout (Aimee Smith). Reading with my kids to help them cope has become a priority. I’ve also kept my favorite Pandora station on repeat: “Classical Music Medley.”

4. In the Kitchen
This week we talked about a few of our favorite Memorial Day traditions when it came to BBQ food. So here is a recap with recipes on our holiday favorites. We made this tried and true KC rib recipe. It was seriously so good. Next we made our absolute favorite Mac and Cheese recipe from the amazing Gourmet Cookbook. We made cornbread from our favorite mix from Lehi Mills. (use our code ‘SWEETMACSHOP15″ to save 15%). Next, apple pie in a bag. Most of you couldn’t believe that I made my apple pie in a bag, but it truly is delicious. I always use THIS recipe from Jamielyn from @Iheartnaptime.

5. What’s on the Blog
This week we posted about not only our love for the beloved Pink Drink from Starbucks, but our macaron spin on that flavor. Our pink drink macs (strawberries and cream) are seriously so easy. To give you a little sneak peek of what’s coming, this week we asked for options on which new crumble we should push “publish” on first. It was a close race between Blueberry Basil, Sugar Cookie, and Potato Chip, so we decided we would get as many as we can out next week just in time for Fathers Day!

I want to hear from you: a comment or review!
